How to delete or hide favorite folders from Navigation Pane in Outlook?

The Favorites is a useful feature deployed at the top of Navigation pane, which can help us to access some folders quickly in Microsoft Outlook. However, some users may need to delete or hide the favorite folders in some cases. In this article, we will introduce three methods to delete or hide favorite folders from the Navigation Pane in Microsoft Outlook.

Remove a certain folder from the Favorites

If you want to remove a certain folder from the favorites in the Navigation Pane, please right click this folder, and then click the Remove from Favorites in the right-clicking menu. See screen shot:

Note:
  1. You will find out the Remove from Favorite folders from the right-clicking menu in Outlook 2007.
  2. The favorite folders only display in the Mail view. You can get into the Mail view with clicking the Mail in the Navigation Pane.

  2. If you are using Microsoft Outlook 2010 and 2013, shift to the Mail view, and  click the Folder Pane (or Navigation Pane) > Favorites on the View tab.

After turning off the Favorites (or Favorites Folder), you won’t find out the favorite folders in the Navigation Pane again. See screen shot:
