Installation of Microsoft Office 2010 Requires MSXML

I was instructed by my boss to install Microsoft Office 2010 to one of our client's PC which has Windows XP operating system. When I try to install Microsoft Office 2010 in Windows XP, it won't continue and it shows an error about MSXML requirement.

There are actually various ways and solutions on how you can solve this error. Here are the following solutions you can do to solve this:

Solution 1:
Download and install Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) as it contains MSXML with it and it will likely solve your problem. You can download Windows XP SP3 here.

If this solution did not resolve your problem, proceed to option # 2.

Solution 2:
You can just manually download and install the latest version of MSXML here. If this solution still did not resolve your problem, proceed to option # 3.

Solution 3:
Most of the time this solution works like a charm. Just follow the steps.
1. Open RUN and type REGEDIT
2. Go to this key "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{F5078F18-C551-11D3-89B9-0000F81FE221}\6.0\0\win32"
3. Right click on WIN32 and select PERMISSIONS
4. Select your username or account and give it a FULL CONTROL permission
5. In the right pane, change the value of DEFAULT to "C:\Windows\System32\msxml6.dll"

Now you followed all these steps but Office 2010 still won't install? Yes I've also encountered it and it took me an hour just to find the solution, so proceed with the final step to resolve it.

Solution 4:
1. Open RUN
2. Type "REGSVR32 MSXML6.DLL"
3. Restart your computer and continue the installation

Leave a message here and let me know how did it go. Thanks :)
